Terms of Agreement

Vaccinations

The pet's rabies vaccine is up to date (as required by law) unless otherwise discussed.

In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Peachy Pups LLC to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary.

Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check or credit card. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Our rates are based on the breed of the pet and duration of the groom. Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.

We do NOT offer anal gland expression, as this should be performed by a licensed veterinarian.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.

Cancellations

We follow the Ada County public school closures as they pertain to inclimate weather. We try to work as long as conditions are not dangerous. If you are unsure, please call/text us to confirm.

Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 24 hours’ notice to waive the FULL appointment fee.

In the event of inclimate weather, a family emergency or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the Peachy Pups LLC has the discretion to waive the fee within the 24-hour period.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.

No-Shows

It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule. We reserve the right to charge the 50% grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show". Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule, when possible, to avoid such situations.

Matting

At Peachy Pups, we believe in “Humanity over vanity” This means that if your pet is matted to the point where the brushing required would be uncomfortable or stressful for your pet, we will opt to shave. This will always be communicated before or during your pet’s appointment.

Matted fur is not only uncomfortable for your dog, but it can also trap moisture near the skin. This can cause mold, fungus, or skin conditions to grow. Even with all precautions taken, shaving a matted pet can cause nicks, abrasions, or even brief behavior changes after grooming.

Aggressive or Highly anxious pets

If your pet has a bite history, this MUST be communicated before the grooming session.

Discretionary, case-by-case basis

Acceptance of pets with behavioral challenges is entirely at our discretion. A consultation and initial assessment is required before a pet can be accepted.

Strict grooming schedule

These types of pets require consistency. Accepted pets must adhere to a strict grooming schedule tailored to individual needs (e.g., 2 to 4 weeks) Skipping or delaying appointments disrupts progress and may result in the suspension of services.

“Progress over Results” Philosophy

Our priority is your pet’s emotional well-being. We focus on gradual improvement and setting your dog up for long term comfort. This means we work on cooperation and trust over immediate aesthetic results. In severe cases, this can take some time.

Extended Sessions

Some pets will require additional time. If a pet becomes overly stressed, exhausted, or unsafe to handle, the groom will be stopped immediately for the safety of the pet and the groomer. Because our schedule blocks out extra time to achieve positive results, the full price of the scheduled grooming session will still be charged, even if the haircut cannot be fully completed. The price of the grooming goes towards the specialized time, safety, and expertise required.

We reserve the right to refer out to a veterinary grooming environment if we feel the pet’s anxiety or aggression cannot be safely managed in a mobile salon setting.
